Dutch actor/tv presenter/media tycoon Winston Gerschtanowitz has married his Renate yesterday, July 9th, in Ermelo, the Netherlands. Winston, 34, met the model/tv presenter, 31, ten years ago. The couple married at estate 'Het Roode Koper' in Ermelo. They had kept the location a secret. Friday Renate said to Dutch celebrity show RTL Boulevard "For me, this is the icing on the cake, then we'll finally be the Gerschtanowitz family." Renate married in a dress by designer Claes Iversen.

According to Dutch magazine Story lawyer, and friend, Bram Moskowicz wed the two. Singer Alain Clark sang a romantic song during the ceremony. After the ceremony the couple left for Italy, where they'll honeymoon.

The couple met during a blind date and immediately hit it off. A year after the birth of their first son, Julian, now 3, Winston asked Renate to marry him. He had flown to New York, where Renate had a photo shoot, and lured her away to dinner and to Times Square, where he had the marriage proposal displayed on a big screen. Renate immediately said yes.

The couple were initially set to marry last year, July 17th, 2010, but the wedding was postponed because Renate was pregnant with their second son, Benjamin James.

Lady Antebellumalready has a song that is inspired by the budding romance of Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrell. Hillary, 25, says of "Just A Kiss", "there is so much excitement at the beginning of a new relationship ... This song is about one of those times when your brain kicks in and tells your heart, 'Good things are worth waiting for.' " Perhaps Lady Antebellum can write an engagement song too, because drummer Chris, 24, popped the question this 4th of July weekend!

Just when the sun was setting over a lake in East Tennessee Chris got down on one knee. Hillary says "Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed," Scott shares. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!"

No date has been set and the couple also hasn't thought about the guest list. I wonder if Tim McGraw will get an invite, the couple met on his tour in early 2010. Quite the matchmaker Tim is!

Lily Allen and Sam Cooper got married today in Cranham (near Gloucestershire), England. The 26-year old bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, actor and comedian Keith Allen. The wedding was attended by less than 100 guests in the (reportedly) tiny church. Sam, a 32-year old decorator and business owner, proposed last Christmas.

Lily's dress was designed by French designer Delphine Manivet. It had over-the-elbow lace sleeves, a lace overlay, a long train, a fishtail skirt and a sweetheart neckline, that in combination with her veil gave the total quite a 1920's feel. Sam looked dashing in his black suit, grey tie and white rose corsage. I also really love Lily's wedding bouquet, but other than the fact that there are white roses in it, I can't seem to find the names of the other flowers in there. Pity.

According to The Daily Telegraph Lily's dress echoed Kate's (as in, from William, aka the duchess of Cambridge) wedding dress. I would disagree, the sweetheart neckline and the fishtail skirt make it a completely different dress. There's a good chance that the author of the Daily Telegraph article was a guy though :)

The wedding was no secret after a wedding guest had leaked the save the day card to the press, it's unknown who this person is, but Lily went into a state of rage and tweeted this message on March 30th "Oh and whoever leaked my wedding invite to the press, you're a dick and your not invited anymore, have some respect and stay at home."

Kris Humphries' marriage proposal came as a complete surprise to Kim Kardashian, but not to her mother and step-father. Humphries approached Kris and Bruce Jenner a couple of days before the big proposal and asked for Kim's hand in marriage. According to Kris Jenner "it was really just so cute the way that he wanted to surprise her."

So the night that Humphries popped the question mom Kris 'coincidentally' hosted a dinner night, so that the happy couple could come join the dinner and share the good news. While no surprise for Kim's parents, sisters Kourtney and Khloe had no idea. "We were both surprised at the dinner when Kim came out with her big rock and she started waving it in the air" says Kourtney.


According to mom Kris, Kim will organise the whole wedding herself. However, sisters Kourtney and Khloe have already assumed that they're both going to be maids of honour, because "otherwise there would be a war." Well good luck with that Kim ;)

According to people.com Kim Kardashian was shocked, when she got home May18th and found her boyfriend Kris Humphries on one knee. In front of Kris lay four words in rose petals: will you marry me? Kim and Kris have been dating for six months and Kim is quoted as saying: "I didn't expect this at all" and "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Kris proposed with a 20.5 carat (!) custom designed, Lorraine Schwartz ring. He is quoted as saying "I just knew I wanted it to be big." Well, he certainly got his wish, look at the size of that ring! Later in the evening there was a small family celebration. Congrats to the happy couple!
