So the word is that singer Etta James plans to retire, after one more album. Ms.James is defiantly considered a legend in the field of music. It is sad to hear that she is retiring, but her music will still live on and we continue making a mark. It is also good that she was honored though the creation of the movie "Cadillac Records."
"The 73-year-old has been in and out of the hospital in recent months undergoing treatment for leukemia, and she was admitted to a California medical center in May after she was diagnosed with a potentially deadly sepsis problem, caused by a urinary tract infection. James was also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2009.
She has been out of the spotlight for a number of years and she’s now set to mark the end of her 50-year career by releasing her final studio album, “The Dreamer,” on Oct. 25.The Grammy Award-winner will then call it quits and concentrate on her health.“I wish to thank all my fans who have shown me love and support over all these years.
