Here it is. The new ad for Louis Vuitton and it puts all rumours to rest: Angelina Jolie is the new face of the brand. Her first ad, for the company's Core Values campaign was released today. On the photo we see Angelina Jolie - in her own clothes, without any make-up and with her own, years old, monogrammed Louis Vuitton Alto bag - in a boat somewhere in the Siem Reap province in Cambodia.

According to Vuitton's vice president Pietro Beccari "people are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation. I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey.” Evidently, Cambodia is a special place for the actress, whose first child, Maddox, was adopted from Cambodia and in whose honour she and husband Brad Pitt established a foundation. 

As the face of Louis Vuitton, Jolie follows in the footsteps of Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Scarlett Johansson. Furthermore, the Core Values campaign has had stars and politicians for models, such as Bono, Buzz Aldrin, Sally Ride and Mikhail Gorbachev.

The only thing I'm not so sure about is the no make-up aspect. I definitely think that I'm seeing eye make-up (eye shadow, kohl, mascara) on that photo...

Were they dating? Were they an actual couple? The picture above shows definite signs of affection, but how much we might never find out, since a 'source' claims that Scarlett Johansson,26, and Sean Penn,50, are no longer dating each other. Just as quickly as their whirlwind romance started, it appears to be over. Too bad for Sean Penn, but I can hear a collective sigh of relief coming from anything masculine (and human, that is): Scarlett Johansson is back in the dating pool, this is my chance! Now let's head to the gym, so that I can impress her with my abs. :)

Even though he says that "the media wasn't invited to my marriage, and they're definitely not invited into the divorce," Ryan Reynolds has opened up (a little bit) about his divorce from Scarlett Johansson. Reynolds is quoted as saying that anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but eventually they'll get out of it, stronger. He says that he hasn't reached that point yet, but that he feels more positive and a different man then six months ago. As far as marriage is concerned, he doesn't think that he'll ever get married again, however that might change in the future, since at the moment he isn't ready to jump back into the dating pool, let alone think about marrying again: "[dating] just seems so kind of alien to me at this point. I've been in relationships pretty much since high school. Some people look at that as a good thing. I think wiser people might see that as a house of cards."
