Alright, so I just started a new job and I'm, like, three days behind on everything going on in the world, but since I am really excited about the Muppets movie dropping on November 23 I am trying to force the faithful few that actually read this blog to join me in my excitement!  In other words: even though this Muppet appearance obviously happened on Monday, I am still posting it!

W ho knew the little guy had it in him?  The film stars Tom Cruise, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway, etc.  Does Simon Pegg have to be Simon Peggish in everything he stars in?  I mean, really.

...and we finally have proof.  Here is Jersey-native (that's the isle of Jersey, no guidos, alas) Henry Cavill, of Tudors fame, looking like a budget version of Will Smith in Hancock.  In other words, he looks like a broke, homeless superhero.  And definitely no Christopher Reeve, and no Brandon Routh either.  Let's face it.  Cavill does not have Man of Steel height.  He just doesn't.  (via dlisted)

In other Showtime scheduling news, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will have its cable television premiere on Saturday, January 8. The second “Twilight” film took in nearly $710 million at the worldwide box office after its 2009 release.

Director Francis Lawrence talked to Adam Ronseberg from MTV’s Movie Blog this weekend after the VMA’s where one if his videos (Bad Romance by LadyGaGa) won video of the year. Now compared to Gaga fans Twilight fans are more well known


Gaga’s Little Monsters have their own brand of fan dedication, but it seems like no fandom can possibly come close to the insane dedication shown by Twi-hards. Francis said that, when comparing acolytes, it was the “Twilight” fans who made themselves most known.

“On ‘Water For Elephants,’ every day there would be, like, 50 people [staked out],” he recalled. “We shot in Tennessee for about a week and there would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn’t matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse. I’m proud of the movie, I’m actually sitting in the cutting room right now.”

Even though filming wrapped at the beginning of August, Francis said he’s not even close to being done with the editing process. “This is only my fourth week of cutting,” he said. “Then I just took a quick two-week vacation, and now I’m cutting. So I’m probably cutting all the way up to Christmas. I think it’s gonna be [a spring release], but it has not been confirmed yet.”

Preoccupation
When we meet Tyler, apart from a few key commitments, he is living a marginal existence by choice. He actively and deliberately protects and supports his sister, Caroline, props up his mother, and is determined to break down his father. However, the rest of his life is really just existence he floats through in a preoccupied haze. What absorbs him?

Well, his brother’s death has raised huge existential doubts and questions in Tyler, and, until he resolves them, he is stuck. One of those is coming to an acceptance or peace about Michael’s death. Another is finding the will to live. They are wrapped up together.

Nothing can happen unless he takes care of this first, and Tyler knows this instinctively. So we have him clearly not paying attention to the Miami brunette’s slurred come-on, yet hearing someone calling ‘Michael’ in the alley. He’s not in the moment at all. He’s in his own inner world.

Lisa…what has been your most memorable moment in LA? I’m sure you pretty awestruck when you went to lunch with Clayton.
The lunch was great….I got the opportunity to make Christoph Waltz and Robert Pattinson laugh before they were about to engage in a fight scene. When I was on the set for Water For Elephants I was pretty much awestruck being in the same room as Christoph Waltz and Reese Witherspoon two Academy Award winners and actors I respect and what girl wouldn’t want to be in the same room as Robert Pattinson. So we had a moment where I introduced myself to the assistant director who continued to put me in front of the camera which lined me up to be right next to Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz and Christoph looks at me…it’s a fight scene and he says, “miss I’m so sorry for the despicable array of violence your about to see” as he was about to beat up Robert Pattinson and I said, “Christoph just do what you have to do” and Robert was so taken aback that someone would say something like that to him that they both start laughing

So you might have some sort of influence on the scene…
It was great just getting to speak with them and be in the same room with them. The most incredible part is watching them all work together and being in the background I’ve been able to make all kinds of connections with people and with like 200 people running around I think I still stood out which is cool.
