So the word is that a lot of people have made some bad comments about the new movie "The Help", but today I got the opportunity to check out the movie and might I say that this movie was a good movie to go see with a senior citizens because they are able to tell you stories of what occurred during their time period.
At first I did not think I would like this movie because it seemed as if it would be one of those moves that doesn't take the viewer on a ride. Movies that are boring or one dimensional are seat fillers and movies that have a good mixture of expressions and are good movies take the viewers for rides.
This movie most def took me for a ride, it had sad and serious parts ,but it also had hilarious parts and parts of encouragement. On a rating scale from 1-10 I would give this movie a 10 because after watching the movie it made me think about the topic of the movie and made me want to discuss the movie with others.
Also this movie made me take time and reflect on the history of african americans and appreciate how far we have come. So please do not let others perceptions of this movie take you away from enjoying a good movie and if you don't believe me check out the movie for your self.
