Today, June 24th, gay marriage has been made legal in New York. Numerous celebrities tweeted their support of gay marriage, with Lady Gaga tweeting "
The revolution is ours to fight for love, justice+equality. Rejoice NY, and propose. We did it!!!" Katy Perry said "NEW YORK! I ♥ U! You’re OFFICIALLY the coolest place on the planet! #PRIDE #EQUALITYFORALL! #CELEBRATE!" Kim Kardashian also gave her two cents, tweeting "NYC legalizes gay marriage
!!! NOH8 New York!!!"
All these celebritweets are, of course, wonderful, but the best tweet came from Neil Patrick Harris, who is personally affected by the legalisation of gay marriage. He tweeted "David and I did propose to each other, but over five years ago.We’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date." That date has come and the pair is now officially engaged to be married. I'm already looking forward to blogging about their wedding! Congratulations to NPH, David and their adorable tots Gideon and Harper.
