So the word is that rapper/actor 50 Cent is due to write a teen novel that will speak on bullying. The novel will be somewhat autobiographical and will be called “Playground.” The book is being set to release in January of next year.
The novel will tell the story of" a 13-year-old bully who “finds redemption as he faces what he's done.' '50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said in a statement that he wanted to tackle this project because he “wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully.I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life,” he added.
“This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers." ( http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/21/50-cent-to-write-teen-novel-about-bullying/?hpt=en_c2)
I am excited to see what 50 Cent comes up with. I also would like to see the reaction of the teens that read the novel. I hope that this can help make an impact and change in the recent large numbers of bullying that take place in schools today. So everyone get ready for "Playground" coming in January.
