CHICKAMAUGA, GA (WRCB) - It was an early wake-up call for dozens of fans as they waited outside an old farm house in Northwest Georgia for a glimpse of actor Robert Pattinson. Many of them got that glimpse too. Channel 3 Eyewitness News was the only television crew on scene as Pattinson walked around in a hoodie.
Pattinson is in town to film opening and closing scenes for the movie Water for Elephants. He will likely only be here for one day but there is a possibility his stay continues into Saturday.
West Cove Road is now blocked. Security is tight around the movie set. Dozens of young females were removed from the property without incident as they got too close.
The film crew started their day with breakfast around 6:30 a.m. and began shooting soon after 7:00 a.m.
Stay with WRCBtv.com and Channel 3 Eyewitness News for continuing coverage of this developing story today. More video and images of Pattinson in Chickamauga will be posted here soon.
