So the word is that Los Angeles Laker center Andrew Bynum has caught a lot of nasty comments for his horrible foul to Maverick's guard J.J. Barea during their final play-off game that left the Lakers eliminated from the NBA play-offs.
"Bynum has apologized for his flagrant foul on Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea during Los Angeles’ final playoff game, saying “it looks bad” and it doesn’t “represent me.” “I want to apologize for my actions at the start of the fourth quarter in Dallas,” Bynum stated. “This doesn’t represent my upbringing and I want to apologize to J.J. Barea for doing that. I’m glad he wasn’t seriously injured. All I can say is I look at it as terrible.”
The elbow move took place en route to the Lakers’ 36-point loss in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series last Sunday. Barea landed hard on the ground, and Bynum took off his jersey while leaving the court.Immediately after the incident, which drew an immediate ejection, he was not apologetic. Looking at replays changed his mind.“I saw it. I went in and I watched it, it was terrible,” Bynum said. “The whole sequence, taking off of the shirt and everything.
Sometimes you just have to man up and own it. That’s what happened and it’s unacceptable. … It looks bad. It just looks bad.”Bynum said he plans to try to contact Barea, but admits, “I think he has bigger and better and more important things to do,” given that the Mavericks swept the Lakers and will play the winner of the Oklahoma City-Memphis series. “I don’t know if I’ll get a response back, but I will [try to contact him].”Bynum suspects the NBA will suspend him for several games at the start of next season. He was suspended for two games in March for a similarly hard foul on Minnesota’s Michael Beasley." (http://www.eurweb.com/?p=104176)
That foul was too uncalled for and he deserves what ever the officials decide. The foul also showed that Bynum doesn't have good sportsmanship and is immature. I can not believe that a foul like this has already happen before and he is still doin his triflin, poor sport act. Get it together Bynum....
