Water for Elephants stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson and arrives in theaters April 22, but fans of the book and movie audiences alike can check out the trailer from the film premiering exclusively on Amazon.com on March 3 at 5 p.m. PST.
Fox has provided us with an exclusive image from Water for Elephants starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson (at right) and it is with great pleasure that we give our readers a first look at this magical-looking film based on the beloved book by Sara Gruen.
20th Century Fox announced March 2 that the new trailer will make its international debut at 5 p.m. on March 3 on Amazon.com, fanning the excitement flames of the millions of Water for Elephants fans. Passion for the movie has driven the novel back to the top of the New York Times bestsellers list.
SheKnows recently featured the book on our top five paperback must-reads and after reading the novel, it is easy to see why. The story is sweeping and romantic and strikes an instant chord.
Water for Elephants not only stars Witherspoon and Pattinson, but also Oscar winner Christoph Waltz in a tale that is equally as magical as it is mesmerizing. It is a story of forbidden love told within a landscape of danger and wonder. Pattinson portrays Jacob, a young man in 1930's America who has gotten off of his life path and landed a job with a traveling circus. In this brave new world, Jacob meets Marlena (Witherspoon) and immediately sparks fly to the dismay of Marlena’s husband August (Waltz). Marlena is miserable in her life with August and sees a life with Jacob as a pathway to happiness that she long thought didn’t exist.
One does not have to be a fan of the Water for Elephants book to appreciate the movie experience. The story is a perfect one to translate to the big screen and we are counting the minutes to the trailer’s premiere on March 3, and especially when the film premieres in theaters April 22. To say it is high on our must-see list of spring films is an understatement.
